Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) is a private engineering college located in Pune, Maharashtra.It was established in 1983 and is affiliated with the University of Pune and recognized by the Government of Maharashtra and the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). MIT Pune is ranked 1st in Maharashtra and 11th in India among the finest Private Engineering Colleges by the news magazine 'Outlook'. The college offers a wide range of UG, PG, PhD, and Diploma programs, including B.Tech, B.Sc, BFA, B.Des, BA, B.Pharm, M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, M.Des, MFA, MA, Diploma AI, Regularity Affairs, Photography, and PhD in Engineering streams.

The film club of MIT organizes periodic screenings of off-beat films of nationally and internationally acclaimed directors.

MIT provides many opportunities for students to solve real world problems faced by the industry and community.MIT students have developed solutions, built product and delivered value.  Some of these projects are results of the collaboration between MIT and its industry and institutional partners like GIZ, MASSIA, CMIA. The students also work on community projects as a part of Unnat Maharashtra and Unnat Bharat Abhiyaan programs.

MIT provides support to students find right placement opportunities. These include campus interviews and placements, internships, on job training, in-plant training etc.At MIT, we take the utmost care in ensuring our students and faculty have the best experience possible. We have various clubs, activities, and events to keep our students and faculty engaged, and excited.

MIT has nearly 1000 staff members to guide students. Many MIT staff have completed their Post-graduation and doctorate (Ph.D.) from national and international premier institutions. The number of Ph.D. staff is about 80. MIT faculty upgrades their domain and pedagogy skills continuously through workshops, training programs, and interaction with teachers global community. MIT faculty engaged in R&D have filed many patents and have many publications to their credit.
